Last week I had the pleasure of coaching Mr S for the second time. He had these kind words to say about the coaching. Take it away Mr S!

I am someone who found daygame very hard, I started out with nightgame and for me daygame was way more of a challenge. Really in my experience I know one guy who picked it up quickly (within 2 years) but he was very extroverted, naturally charismatic, not a sensitive person at all and a sports entertainment wrestler so he was used to performing. For everyone else I know daygame is a difficult thing to learn and it takes a long time to get better. I incorrectly thought I could just apply work ethic, keep doing daygame sessions, keep doing my approaches and I would get better but that will only take you but so far.
I had to go above and beyond to make even small improvements. The things I did were: 1) writing/recording field reports (reflecting on and analysing my performance after each session looking for way I can improve), 2) watching 2 hours worth of various daygame infields every day, 3) reading/studying daygame theory (books, blogs and lectures), 4) writing documents for myself that I’d read every day (reminders of good practice and things that I can say), 5) getting coaching. None of these things alone are a magic pill, but all of them combined will help you to make improvements to your daygame. So if you are willing to put the effort and time in I’d recommend doing all these things.
So with regards to coaching, I have worked with 3 other daygame coaches in the past and have come across other coaches also. I have worked with Tom on 2 occasions now and I would say that he is an intelligent man, who knows his stuff about daygame and has a high level of competence. He frequently gave me advice and feedback during the coaching session, in relation to techniques, things to say and any mistakes that I made.
What I really like about his coaching is the format. 4 hours in the field (get a coffee in-between), you are mic’d up so Tom can hear you as well as watch you, he then does a debrief with you at the end where he discusses areas for improvement, he will then send you a written report/feedback of the coaching session (a reminder what you went through during the session and things you need to work on), he will also send you a recording of the whole session including the entire interaction between you and Tom and all your infield sets.
So if I were to go back again would I advise myself to get the coaching with Tom? Yes because I have seen improvements to my game since then. Tom is very approachable and easy to speak to so if you have any questions about the coaching he’s very easy to contact via email and is happy to discuss things with you.
