Poland Daygame Infield Coaching Testimonial by Julius

Earlier this year Julius and I headed to Poland for some infield coaching where he hit his 1000 approaches milestone. Upon performing that 1000th approach the heavens opened and he was blessed with great Daygame knowledge (and no, that’s not a euphemism). He was even live tweeting each session and you can see what he said, in the moment, about the coaching (and you should follow him).

Let’s hear what he had to say about the whole experience.

If you want to learn Muay Thai, you should train in Thailand; if you want to cook sushi, consider a class in Japan; to learn meeting women during the day, you should learn where the craft was perfected, London. And so I, an American, spent the last 9 months working with Thomas Crown to achieve competency in London Daygame. Most of that time was spent via skype calls, but the purpose of this review is the capstone three days of in-field coaching in Poland.

I decided to work with Tom because (1) his prolific content across his blog, patreon, and books demonstrate he has been fully immersed in the topic for years (2) I felt I could relate well to him – he is thoughtful, articulate, and practical (3) I really admired how practical his advice was – many guys, like me, just want a girlfriend and he details how to do that, and his “beginner plan” which I basically followed (4) I was not having luck with some of the older material, and one day tried his stopping technique – it seemed to work a lot better (5) I reviewed his many testimonials (like this one) and DMed some of those guys and heard confirmation from them – feel free to DM me! – (6) he learned under the Torero/Krauser branch, the only branch I trusted. I’d say that was a pretty good decision – a victory for my judgement.

Before May, I had never gone out with a proper London School Daygamer (and very few winged sessions). Though I had spent 9 months going out consistently solo (3-4 sessions / week, about 8 hours of in-field per week), I was still unsure if I were making some obvious blunders and a bit nervous. Mostly, I was excited to see if there were low-hanging fruit that was hard to spot via skype.

And the in-field coaching did not disappoint. Quite a lot happened over that span, but perhaps the meta-level point was I was able to go out with one of the top guys and see how it is really done. Having that reassurance and knowing what it’s like has been immensely valuable after the fact. Tom was able to closely monitor me and provide a ton of feedback (neatly summarized after the fact). There was too much feedback to highlight it all, but some choice items: a non-obvious side-stop technique that felt more calibrated and seemed to decrease blowouts drastically, a lot of practice on “stacking” (observations, compliments, etc) – a notoriously tricky area of day game, winging tips – like tactics to force IOIs together, non-verbal ways to “double down” the excitement of the interaction when you found a girl that likes you, how to recognize and “force” IOIs, and of course artfully selecting whom to approach.

A lot of our discussion was on a topic that fascinates me – pre-approach filtering (how to identify what girl may be more amenable to daygame and to my particular archetype). Here, being in-person makes all the difference as I was able to learn his take on the multitude of girls that walked by. I mentioned to him during the sessions – it feels like there is a lost Art to meeting women… knowledge that used to get passed down and somehow stopped, but now I felt like I was getting the “secret knowledge”. (As an aside, there is no “info guarding”; I think all of this information is available in various resources, but reading it in a book and seeing it live are two very different things.)

Every time I’d do an approach, Tom would listen in, and give highly-specific feedback. I really love this manner of learning, and it’s gotten to the point where I could sometimes (not always) predict his feedback (which means I can self-coach in the future). Related, Tom would do demos, and being able to see how it is supposed to go down and what proper technique looks like is also immensely valuable.

As Tom instructs, the purpose of a wing is to help the other wing feel good – boost his vibe. And so Tom expertly does that during the sessions. So, it’s pretty fun – just hanging out, learning how to Daygame in a beautiful European city. A related item, Tom is both extra generous with his time (to the point where I had to tell him I felt bad as I paid for a specific amount of hours but it’s clear he just wants his clients to succeed and he’d spend countless extra time discussing whatever topic I wanted), and generous with introducing his friends. It’s great to see who he has gone out with and what more advanced Daygamers are like.

Tom of course came prepared: both with an intermediate and beginner in-field template full of notes, and at the end gave me nearly 10 thorough pages of notes custom to me, feedback, and action items, along with a recording of the entire 3 days of coaching for my review.

Ultimately, my first year in the Daygame, nearly all of which Tom guided me through, was a grand success. I now consider myself a competent intermediate Daygamer – I can identify, approach, and date women I met during the day. I’ve done so across various geos (USA, South America, Europe) and the vast majority of the time without a wing. I basically found Tom’s realistic expectations to match my experience – I ended with 10 notches (two on this Poland trip) and ~30 or so first dates. A lot of fun stories, beautiful women in my life, and am even beginning to meet other competent Daygamers. I feel equipped to take this knowledge and put it to use on my ultimate goal of finding a girlfriend and starting a family, something that honestly felt so hopeless a year ago that I did something so daunting as jump into Daygame.

I’d recommend booking coaching with Tom before the secret is out and his prices go up.

That last sentence is true by the way! You can find more about coaching with me here. If you’d also like coaching in Poland I’ll be there 22-29 September and 13-20 October.

Yours unfaithfully,

Thomas Crown
