You see this kind of statement thrown around a lot, typically by guys who aren’t getting any:
What’s my ROI?
I can’t put my finger on why, exactly, but I have never met a great Gamer who talks about ROI. My best guess is that it’s an ego defense mechanism. I can imagine someone sitting at home, deep in analysis paralysis, trying to pick out the optimum way to meet women. It acts as a convenient form of avoidance. They can sit in their ivory tower and try to run all the calculations in the world, rather than simply getting out there and getting stuff done. Maybe it also belies a form of false superiority. The imagined ability to select from a buffet of pick-up avenues and make the perfect decision, every time.
All the top guys in this space do this for the love of the thing itself. Daygame just makes sense for them and they don’t care about crafting some optimised pick-up portfolio. There’s no moral superiority to it. Just like there’s no higher morality to any form of Game purism nor a mixture.
