I had the pleasure of working with Mr S and Mr M recently on a bootcamp (the names are just a coincidence!). They are two guys with a lot of potential and the dedication to make Daygame work for them. I’m really looking forward to seeing how they do and hearing about their successes.
I’m running another bootcamp this weekend and unfortunately one guy had to drop out. If you’re interested in coming for one or two days of the weekend then please drop me a message ASAP.
Let’s hear what they had to say
*****
The weekend was intense, enjoyable and transformative. I find myself approaching many more women than I expected and having some delightful interactions that were actually fun.
Tom is always positive and encouraging. He rewards every advance, however modest, and was able to get my out of a rut and actually make me look forward to approaching. He kept things brisk and lighthearted while never sugar coaching anything and recognising that for (many of us) this is really hard to do – he shows impressive emotional literacy and empathy.
Tom is a gifted coach and I could tell he’s hugely experienced. He seemed to be familiar with every problem I had (real or imagined) and had a workable, tested solution. He was able to analyse my game forensically and point out (always tactfully) what was I most needed to correct in the next interaction – all expressed simply so as never to overwhelm me. It was like having a god see your every move and gently guide you in real time.
He’s also happy to reinforce the basics such as the actual mechanics of the stop and drill us until the moves truly became ingrained.
Tom was keen to help us make this part of our lives. This can be a lonely and dispiriting game and I’ve found it very hard in the past to keep going. I’ve been on bootcamps with other coaches previously and (while they went well) afterwards I felt a sense of anticlimax and then did nothing for months. This is not the case this time, with Tom. He takes ongoing, post-bootcamp life seriously: he laid out a way to be consistent – a realistic plan that seems manageable – and he’s kept in touch. So I left the weekend feeling more optimistic, better organised and more enthused about game than I have in years.

I can say nothing but good things having just finished a bootcamp with Tom, which extended far beyond the two days. Calls well before the weekend allowed Tom to get an understanding of what my experience was and the things I wanted to work on.
The weekend itself was great, from the warm ups to constant feedback as we worked through sets, ending with debriefs at the end of each day to take stock of how the day went, both positive and developmental.
AA wasn’t so much of an issue but I feel a lot more confident after the bootcamp, getting great reference experiences with girls that I may have been slightly intimidated by beforehand.
