Spring appears to have sprung and so has the Daygame year. This is the time when the days are getting brighter and much longer and girls are emerging from their dating-hibernations, fresh faced and ready for action. The question to you is “what is your plan this year?”
You’ve probably heard this before but I want to reiterate it today: be specific and quantifiable. If you want to get a new Daygame lay a month and it takes you 100 approaches to do that, on average, then you need to do 100 approaches this month. That’s roughly 25 a week. You might even break it down into a daily goal of 3-4 approaches.
What I like even more than just making Daygame part of your goal, is to do 100 day challenges where you give yourself three to five points that you must hit every day. For example, that could be:
- Do 3 approaches a day no matter the weather
- Analyse one of your infields
- Do some form of exercise such as lifting weights or steady state cardio
- Weigh myself every morning (a nice easy way to tick something off early)
- Spend 30 minutes away from my phone and in nature
You can add anything you like to the list but here’s the important part: if you miss a day, you have to start again. Even if you’re on day 99 and you miss one activity, you have to start again. I’ve done these kinds of challenges in the past and they’re great at keeping you accountable and driven. It’s true, sometimes you have to fudge the points. Maybe it’s a rushed exercise session or the approaches were just hit and run compliments. I’ve certainly had annoying resets where I forgot to do the activity and it was already too late. At the end of a successful, 100 day streak, though, you’re going to feel accomplished and you’re going to have made a significant difference in your life. Whether that’s just your dating life or out into your broader life.
Yes, today’s post was a lot more lifecoach-y, but the points above stand. Pick-up is just the Trojan Horse to self-development after all. If you want help identifying your own goals and sticking to them, click the links below.
